Eel weir at Rivière-Ouelle

The weir shown here measures 305 m long. The leader is located on the right-hand side of the photograph, while the wing, which is much shorter, is placed at a 45-degree angle to the leader.
The long poles rising above the weir were used for mounting the nets.
