A rapid succession of video images of a lake, mountains, fish filmed underwater, happy anglers who are proud of their catches, and Bruno Caron, all smiles, holding a string of fish. Close-up of Bruno Caron, in interview format, sitting next to Sandrine Caron in a boat in the middle of nature.
Bruno: I got my desire to become a guide from my father. My father was not a fishing guide. But ever since I was a kid, he would always take me into the woods to go fishing. It was such a fun time. He showed me wonderful things. I have so many great memories of that time that it was only natural that I would become a guide. Now it’s my turn to share that experience with as many people as possible.

Bruno: When I was 30, I had an opportunity to buy Pourvoirie Waban-Aki. I spoke with my wife and I thought she was going to say I was crazy, but apparently she’s just as crazy as I am because she said “yes”! So we sold our house and cottage, we quit our jobs, and we moved here with our three children.

Aerial shot of the Pourvoirie Waban-Aki site, surrounded by forests and bodies of water, showing the reception building and several cars. Short succession of images of Sandrine Caron, the daughter of Bruno Caron, who is seen fishing. Sandrine: I have always fished, and it’s always been part of my life. Every time I wanted to go fishing or was able to go fishing, I would jump at the opportunity to cast my line into the water. But by introducing other people to fishing, I rediscovered fishing for myself. Sometimes parents ask us to take out their children, and that’s what I like best. We give them a taste for the sport. They will be the next generation of anglers after us, and it’s a really incredible experience.

Succession of images of teenagers enjoying summer activities, especially fishing with a guide. They are happy to show us their catches. We also see Mr. Caron splitting wood. Close-up of Bruno Caron, in interview format, sitting next to Sandrine Caron in a boat in the middle of nature.
Bruno: One of the services that is really appreciated and that people mention to us a lot is when we make shore lunches. We prepare their trout and show them how to do it at the same time, because often they don’t know how. After that, we make them a great meal out in nature, and our clients really enjoy it.

Bruno: After spending 10 years in the forest with my family, one of my great sources of pride is to see my daughter Sandrine guiding groups. To see how she does it in her own way, with so much love and dedication, and to see how she leaves her clients happy, with lots of good memories.
Sandrine: Of course, being a fishing guide is different as a girl. You have to get the guys to have confidence in you. (Laughter.)
Bruno: And that’s something she’s really good at! (Laughter.)
