Here is an excerpt from the association’s letters patent – 1984
Mission statement:
The reasons for which the corporation was created are as follow:
A) To unit under a single association, all the outfitters located within the 04 administrative limits of the Ministère du Loisir, de la Chasse et de la Pêche, with the intention of helping, subject to the laws in this province concerning the conservation and development of wildlife, to direct clients, whether residents or visitors, towards the regions where they will best be able to benefit from their trip without interfering with the rights, privileges and services offered to members by associations for the protection of hunting, fishing and environmental resources.
B) To promote and encourage the visiting of the 04 region by individuals wishing to hunt, fish or trap, and to direct them to the appropriate areas, so that they return home from their trip satisfied and with the intention of coming back to visit again in the future.
C) To help clients acquire a deeper understanding of the laws and regulations governing the conservation and development of wildlife in Quebec.
D) To help the members of the association provide their clients with the best possible accommodation, and meet the utmost standard of customer service and satisfaction, regardless of the member said client books their trip with.
E) To publish booklets, brochures and press releases announcing the services offered by the members of the association and encourage nature enthusiasts to visit the 04 region to practice their outdoor activities.
F) The association collaborates with various tourist organizations within the 04 region, as well as the municipal, provincial and federal governments to help grow and develop its members.
G) The association is a non-profit organization whose resources and revenue are internally spent, as well as used to provide mutual support to its members, allowing them to promote their activities as outfitters.
