Territory limits as detailed in the Declaration of Sovereignty

This territory covers all of the Mauricie region, as well as a part of the adjacent regions; it covers close to 80,000 square kilometres.

The Nitaskinan territory is bordered to the north by the Gouin Resevoir and the Obedjiwan community. To the west, it includes the community of Manawan and extends towards the Laurentides and Abitibi regions. To the south, it extends all the way to the Saint Lawrence River. The Wemotaci community lies in the heart of this territory.
