Damp moss to preserve fish

When the weather is warmer, it’s best not to leave your catch hanging on a chain as this could damage the fish flesh.

Your best bet is to store your catch in an ice-filled cooler. If you don’t have a cooler, you can soak moss and place it on the floor of your boat. Covering your fish with damp moss helps to preserve them.
