Come sit by the fire

Harry Asquabaneskum, Queenie Atsynia and Noreen Georgekish cook geese in a michiiwaahp (teepee), a Cree dwelling built with spruce poles and covered with canvas and tarps. Fragrant spruce boughs carpet the floor.  Bannock baking in the pot on the right will be eaten with the roast goose. The michiiwaahp  is a warm and friendly space where people gather to cook traditional foods, tell stories and share laughter.
