Life is an expedition

This article was clipped from The Nation magazine (Beesum Publications) in 1997 and pasted onto the first page of the Youth Center’s photo album from the first river trip for youth.  All the participants signed their names around the article. Rodney Mark, who wrote the account, was Youth Chief at the time and had helped to organize the trip.  He has since served two terms as Deputy Chief of the Cree Nation of Wemindji, two terms as Wemindji’s chief and a term as Deputy Grand Chief for the Cree Nation Government (regional).
