The Centre de la nature de Laval is a great example of a rehabilitated quarry. In the early 1970s, the City of Laval decided to turn the site into a 47-hectare urban park. Today, it’s home to an artificial lake, vast gardens, a small farm and a pavilion for Laval residents and visitors to enjoy.
