In honour of the Châteauguay patriots
Source: Maison LePailleur
For several years Maison LePailleur has been commemorating the memory of the Châteauguay patriots in a variety of ways, either by organizing activities on the National Patriots’ Day, by offering historical talks on the subject, by celebrating Quebec’s national holiday with traditions from the very first Saint-Jean-Baptiste celebrations or by erecting a monument in their honour.
On this image, you can see on the left parts of the monument in honour of the Châteauguay patriots and, on the right, the Reconstitution Society of Lower Canada conducting a ceremonial fire on National Patriots’ Day.
