Théophile Descarries

Théophile Descarries was born in Lachine on November 6th, 1884. His parents were Joseph-Adélard and Célina-Elmire (born LePailleur). He is the elder brother of the opera singer Marie-Rose and the pianist, organist and composer Auguste.
Théophile chose to study law at the Laval University to become a lawyer. He married to Marie-Anne Huot in 1911. In this photograph, next to him stands his wife and their two daughters, Rollande and Mélanie.
