Ernest Patenaude, left, at Harper’s Camp, today the village of Horsefly, near the present-day city of Williams Lake BC, 1896.  Alex Meiss is seated in the buggy, and Matilda Meiss stands at centre.

Horsefly remains a tiny commercial and social centre within a major ranching area.

The Patenaude family is featured later in this exhibition.
