David “Sonny” Isnardy (1914-1988), son of James “Jimmy” and Christine Bowe, was a sniper on the front lines during the Second World War. The photo shows him and his medals: from the left, the War Medal 1939-1945, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the France and Germany Star, and the 1939-45 Star.
