“We were called Geoff Patenaude and the Goose Lake Raiders. And that’s what we played as until Expo 86. So when I invited the three girls to come up, and Pharis refused to come up, the two girls came up and they just loved it. And the audience just ate it up! Just loved it! So the next year – I had played that year at the Lac La Hache Country Music Festival as a solo. I also played with Chris Elwert the next night as a duo. And then we went to Expo 86 the next year. So the next year, the kids and I had been playing music together because it felt so good at Expo, I got a call asking ‘Could you come back with your friend Chris at the Lac La Hache Country Music Festival?’ I said ‘I will under one condition. Can I bring my children to play with me?’ ‘Absolutely!”
