Sir Joseph-Philippe-René-Adolphe Caron, M.P. (Quebec Country) (1843 – 1908) was photographed in May 1873. He was Sir John A. Macdonald’s Minister of Militia and enjoyed spending summers in St. Patrick where he also hosted fundraising picnics to support the conservative party.
