The Perry Point river crossing

KPH Photo Archive, Image # 000290, circa 1900
Constructed in the late 1870’s a causeway with a bridge crossed the Kennebecasis River from Flewelling’s Mill at Perry Point to Jubilee (Model Farm Road) in the Parish of Rothesay. The structure was about three-quarters of a mile (1.2 km) long and the largest in the province. It was almost completely destroyed by a flood on January 6, 1909.
