Brown Derby started its life as a restaurant and evolved into a wholesale business. The restaurant was known for selling chocolate bars, chewing gum, tobacco, and newspapers. In this photo you can see the Star Weekly magazine prominently displayed in the right window of The Brown Derby. This was a Canadian periodical published between 1910 and 1973.
