Article in the Western Star

One section in the Western Star newspaper published letters from the public. This entry shows some of the concerns people had with the Corner Brook radio station.
Image transcription: “We hear that renovations are in order for the aging equipment at Radio Station CBY . . . the changes probably will take place next year at which time some transmission parts which date almost back to Marconi will be modernized . . . We welcome this forward step at the Corner Brook station . . . and plead with the C.B.C. to do something about the location of the transmitters while they’re making the changes . . . that transmitter should be at least three miles outside Corner Brook, so the Roamer can get some other stations once in a while, and not have CBY come in at five different places on his dial.”
