Engraving, booklet, Bishop University Medicine Faculty, 1893-1894

This booklet announces the 23rd annual session of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bishop’s College in Montreal. It includes a chapter on the admission of women to the medical program, stating that they are able to adapt to the requirements of the program. Maude Abbott is mentioned as the only female student to have obtained honours in medicine at Bishop’s College. An engraving of the university’s Faculty of Medicine building, built in Montreal in 1871, is shown on the last page of the booklet.
