Excerpt, Social History of the Parish of Christ Church, 1934

Maude Abbot took care to legitimize her historical approach, explaining that the sources used for her chronicles were first-hand and came directly from the people who lived through the events; the pioneer families or their descendants. This is an excerpt from Maude’s Social History of the Parish of Christ Church, St. Andrews, Quebec, from 1818 to 1875, The Montreal Churchman, June 1934, p.8-10
