Dr. William Osler (1849-1919), considered the father of modern medicine, was a great source of inspiration for Maude Abbott. She first met him in 1899 at John Hopkins University in Baltimore. He became her mentor and confidant. In 1939, Maude published this annotated bibliography of Dr. Osler’s publications.
