In this special issue of the McGill Medical Journal in October 1940 dedicated to the memory of Maude Abbott, students, professors, friends and colleagues set pen to paper to pay tribute to her. “For Maude Abbott’s influence as a personality was at least as important as her work in medicine; and this influence was felt far and wide.”
