Prospecting in Northeastern Ontario meant long hours in an unforgiving remote environment. Most areas had to be explored either by foot or accessed by water.
Sandy McIntyre (left) and Hans ‘Jock’ Buttner (right) were prospectors with connections to mining communities across the region, including Kirkland Lake.
