The Ukrainian National Band (also called the Ukrainian National Federation Orchestra) of Kirkland Lake:

They formed in 1933, but disbanded in 1939 as many of their members enlisted in the military for service during WWII.
The band performed North American and European dances at many local activities, and marches with the Canadian Legion. They played at the Ukrainian National Federation’s members’ funerals, weddings, mine picnics, and for the public at summer concerts in parks.
