All along the river – The trees will have seen it all
The trees will have seen it all – All along the river.
All along the river – The trees will have seen it all
The trees will have seen it all – All along the river.
Rapids in prayer – And many newcomers
Rapids in prayer – And many newcomers
From Sault-au-Récollet – To flowery promenades
Passersby on public benches – Drawing hopscotch courts
In pink, and chalk, and skies – Memories of Ahuntsic
In the neighbourhood parks – The trembling aspens
Yesterday and tomorrow sing – In soil and silences
In soil and silences – Yesterday and tomorrow sing
All along the river – The trees will have seen it all
The trees will have seen it all – All along the river.
All along the river – The trees will have seen it all
The trees will have seen it all – All along the river.
