New Penelope owner and manager Gary Eisenkraft lent the club for the filming of High, but also appears as an extra in some scenes. In this still from the film, Gary is sitting on the steps of The New Penelope on Sherbrooke Street in the evening, chatting with one of the main actors. Director Larry Kent even gave a secondary role to Gary’s then-girlfriend, Melinda McCracken!
