The Paul Butterfield Blues Band was an American group that was credited with innovating a new sound in the mid 1960s, bringing various influences such as jazz and world music to their brand of blues-based rock and roll. Gary Eisenkraft was a good friend of Butterfield’s, and brought the band to Montreal for several concerts at The New Penelope on Stanley as well as the later Sherbrooke location.
