Erik Slutsky, amateur photographer and regular at The New Penelope, took this photo of a hippie wedding at Fletcher’s Field (renamed Parc Jeanne-Mance in 1990) at the foot of Mount Royal in 1967. In the background, amongst the guests, is the Sir George-Étienne Cartier monument that still stands today.
