Annex of the Radium Institute on Pie-IX Boulevard, date unknown
Archives de l’Université de Montréal, date unknown
Starting in 1931, because of insufficient workspace, the Radium Institute rented two buildings next to Maisonneuve’s former Town Hall. Located at 1875–1891 Pie-IX Boulevard, these were built in 1906 by Charles-Aimé Reeves who had also resided there. A great architect, Reeves was also the grandfather of famous astrophysicist Hubert Reeves. The photograph also shows the entrance of the alleyway leading to the duplex rented by the Grey Nuns.
