Ève Curie’s Visit to Montréal, 1939

During her visit to Montréal, Ève Curie, daughter of Marie and Pierre Curie, presented her recently-published biography of her mother. Here we see her alongside doctors from Montréal’s Radium Institute. Curie was invited to the University of Montreal’s Cercle universitaire where she met with a number of the city’s major figures like Montréal Mayor Camilien Houde, Université de Montréal Rector Olivier Maurault, as well as the French and Polish Consuls.
