For the 25th anniversary of the relocation of the Institute to Maisonneuve, a reception was organized in the main building of the Montréal Botanical Garden. The political and medical elite was invited. From left to right: Université de Montréal Rector Mgr. Olivier Maurault, Director of the Colorado Springs Penrose Cancer Center Dr. Juan Angel Del Regato, Montréal Cardinal Mgr. Paul-Émile Léger, Health and Social Services Minister Dr. Albiny Paquette, President of the Institute’s Board of Directors Thomas Taggart-Smyth, Mayor of Montréal Camillien Houde, and finally, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Montréal Dr. J. Roméo Pépin.
