(Left) A politician and a journalist, Athanase David was a deputy at the National Assembly, the Provincial Secretary of Québec and a senator. He was also the grandfather of many contemporary political figures like Hélène David and Françoise David.
(Right) Lawyer, journalist and deputy at the National Assembly, Louis-Alexandre Taschereau was elected Premier as leader of Québec’s Liberal Party in 1920. He occupied this position until 1936, which makes his the longest uninterrupted mandate in Québec history.
