Portrait of Léon Lortie, 1947

Archives de Montréal, 1947
A chemist and Professor at the Université de Montréal, a science historian and communicator, an important member of ACFAS and a Côte-des-Neiges City Councillor, Léon Lortie wore many hats. The Radium Institute nominated him to represent the City of Montréal on the Board of Directors in 1945. A letter from 1956 also indicates that he held the position of Secretary-Treasurer at the Institute.
