Official poster for Montréal’s Radium Institute at the time of its inauguration in the Université de Montréal. It shows a drawing of the device used to extract and collect radon, a gaseous emanation of radium used for medical treatments. Above the machine is an acronym of the laboratory illustrating the three types of radioactive radiation: α—alpha, β—beta and γ—gamma. It also features the phrase “Laboratoire du radium – Université de Montréal.”
