Treatment Facilities at the Université de Montréal, between 1922 and 1925

Featuring some of the installations used to treat patients at Montréal’s Radium Institute, this photograph is one of the rare images taken of the very first facilities of the Institute, then housed in the basement of the Université de Montréal on the Saint-Denis Street in the Quartier Latin neighbourhood. We can make out some of the machines featured on other photographs of the Institute after it relocated to Maisonneuve.
