Université de Montréal, Saint-Denis Street, After the Fire, 1922
Archives de l’Université de Montréal, 1922
The 1922 fire was not the first, but second one to severely damage the Université de Montréal’s central building, then located on Saint-Denis Street in the Quartier Latin neighbourhood. This fire set back the opening of the laboratories of the Radium Institute, which were eventually inaugurated in 1923.
