A proposition by engineers for a suspension bridge between Longue-Pointe and Boucherville, 1961

This suspension bridge would have been the longest and highest in North America. On the Montreal side, we see the Sisters of Providence’s Saint-Isidore convent. Built in 1846, this convent was torn down in 1996.
