Port Coquitlam City Hall, ca. 1914

By 1922, the city of Port Coquitlam had yet to pay off its debts amassed from prior disasters and infrastructure projects. This included the construction of City Hall in 1914. Expecting a population boom, this larger city hall was commissioned to replace Kelly’s Hall, the community’s first municipal hall and later the city’s firehall.
