Louis poses proudly beside his monumental work known as Notre-Dame-du-Saguenay. This ex-voto of the Immaculate Conception commissioned in September 1880 by Charles-Napoléon Robitaille towers atop Cap Trinité. The 7.5 metre statue—the highest ever commissioned in Canada at the time—still amazes visitors to this day.
