Dr. Raymond Dearle built the Physics Department at the University of Western Ontario from scratch. It was originally housed in a small space at London’s Victoria Hospital.
In the early 1920s Dr. Dearle convinced UWO that a great university needed a great physics department. In 1925 they moved across the city to the main campus, and a brand new building.
