Mercury 202-203 Tube Tester, 1953

The tube tester is oriented like a chair: the green bottom section is flat and contains many receptacles to test tubes. The back is white and has a horizontal display for advertisement.

This device was used to test various kinds of tubes, which were a key component in radio receivers. Tube testers such as this would have been set up in pharmacies and shopping centres for public use.
