The full page of this advertisement is displayed below. The text discusses the Canadian government’s wartime mandate to reduce domestic radio production. The model 1554V illustrated here is described as likely to “not remain in stock very long.” It was published by the Northern Electric Company to highlight the company’s place in wartime communications systems.  The large “V” across the speaker makes clear Northern Electric’s patriotic commitment to victory in the war.
