This exhibition looks at how radio became an indispensable link between Canadians and the nation at home.
This polished wood radio has an arched top. The cloth covering the loudspeaker shows clear aging signs, indicating that the radio may be in its original condition.

This wood radio has a top left rounded edge affecting the form of the loudspeaker which has a cover of medium brown coloured velvet. Today, the dial plate is beige and brown but it may have been ivory white and red originally.

RCA Victor created a map of Europe showing the position of allied ships and planes. The map depicts countries in warm colours like yellow, red and brown. The location names are written in English but the information on the label is French.
The multi-coloured page has a title, an illustration, some text and a smaller illustration at the bottom of the page. The main illustration shows a flamboyant ball taking place in a great hall, with two figures in the foreground relaxing beside a Eisemann radio.

This form with a perforated top edge is the bottom third of a letter sized, blue-grey paper document. The bilingual text has a uniting frame with art deco elements in each corner.
The publication has a double line as frame and the Canadian Coat of Arms around the centered text in different sized fonts. The print colour is black.
A simple decorative line frames this form which was completed in handwriting and signed by the government official and the user.
