Don Stevens

Donald “Don” Stevens is a Canadian former alpine skier who competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics as well as the 1985 and 1989 World Championships. He was born in Rossland, British Columbia and was a member of the Red Mountain Racers. He is the son of William “Bill” Stevens (1954 and 1958 Canadian National Ski Team Member) and Patricia Stevens.
Stevens had 1 podium finish in the 1987–88 FIS World Cup Season, a 2nd place in the Beaver Creek downhill on March 12, 1988. He was sitting 3rd place at a World Cup in Åre, Sweden until the race was stopped due to high winds. The race was later re-started where he finished 9th. He finished 6 times in the top 15 at world cup races in his career. Donald retired from ski racing in 1990. He still enjoys skiing on Red Mountain and has volunteered at many races since his retirement.
