A2020.035.003 Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre Collection
Alice Gordon competitively skied throughout her time at Rossland High School. In April 1950, Gordon and June McKenzie went to American School Competition in Sun Valley, Idaho, with the B.C. ski team. June placed third in the downhill and slalom, while Alice placed sixth in the slalom and won the “good citizen and sportsman” shield. This competition was one of the many tournaments Rossland and Trail skiers would attend over the years.
