Richard Hudon — Painter of the Saint-Maurice

Richard Hudon
An amateur painter who mainly creates impressionist works in acrylic, Richard Hudon is largely inspired by the Saint-Maurice in his practice:
Breathtaking landscapes, cliffs, rapids, rocky areas and sandbanks are some of the Saint-Maurice’s key features. There’s no way around it; the Saint-Maurice is an important part of our history, from its power plants to its logs that have travelled for years down the river to the paper mills. I was born near La Tuque and have lived in Grand-Mère for 26 years; I have always been near the Saint-Maurice. When you use Highway 155 and see the Saint-Maurice along the road, season after season, you can’t help but represent the Saint-Maurice in your artwork.
