Max Kogouri:
My name is Max Kogouri. I’m from a country in West Africa called Côte d’Ivoire. I moved to Mauricie in July 2017. What I like about Mauricie…
Images follow one another while Mr. Kogouri continues to speak. The first image shows a lake stretching as far as the eye can see into the middle of the forest, and the second image shows a riverbank and the reflection of a blue sky in the water.

There’s La Mauricie National Park, the great outdoors, the calmness. The Saint-Maurice River is a river that I visit first when I walk along the Promenade du Saint-Maurice here in Shawinigan. So, I go to the riverbank often.
Images follow one another while Mr. Kogouri continues to speak. The first images shows the Cité de l’énergie tower, which is reflected on the river at sunset. The second image shows the Shawinigan Falls and its tumultuous waters.

I also go fishing when I can. Yes, I really enjoy it, and I love the river. And, of course, I think it’s a great place to build a family life. I have a family, and we like it here.
