Windigo
Archives du Séminaire de Trois-Rivières, Marcel Quirion Collection, 0676-0177.
The potential existence of the Windigo didn’t prevent a train station and a small village from being built roughly 100 km north of La Tuque at the beginning of the 20th century.
Situated on the west bank of the Saint-Maurice, facing the mouth of the river, this hamlet, established in 1920, consisted of a few buildings occupied by employees of the lumber industry.
