Stage One: French’s Cove Restoration

Stage One of restoring root cellars typically involves assessing the foundations of the cellar. This hillside cellar has a foundation of stacked stones that were originally in ruins prior to restoration.
This often means that the stacked stone foundations need to be repaired to remain standing. They may need to be reinforced, and you may also have to locate new stones to finish the foundation restorations.
