Botanical Garden Hatch entry
Photographed in August 2011 by Crystal Braye and Julie Pomeroy.
The cellar the Botanical Gardens in St. John’s, Newfoundland is located in the original carriage house on the property, built circa 1917. The cellar was originally used to store milk products and vegetables, but now it is used to store bulbs to be planted in the warmer months.
The cellar has a hatch entrance located on the floor of the carriage house with a ladder that leads down into the cellar.
