Relocation of the Southern District of Malartic in 2008 and 2009

Workers prepared the houses to move them from the southern district of the city of Malartic to the new district located a few kilometers north of the town.

Ninth of July, 2008 The first houses are moved. The houses are transported with precaution on large trailers. The trailers are escorted by trucks and walking workers to ensure security during the moving. These operations take place early the morning. New foundations await the relocated homes.
